My family and I are leaving Friday morning at 8am to make our way to Washington DC for the inauguration. Regardless of political affiliation, no one can deny the historical import of this event not only in my lifetime, but in the 232-year history of the United States of America. I am thrilled to be alive today to witness the inauguration of our nation's first African-American president.
